I have read them all: W, Vanity Fair, InStyle, People Style Watch, Elle & the infamous Vogue. My favorite magazine of all time is Harper’s Bazaar. Elle comes in a strong second. Vogue is third even though I feel Anna Wintour is just the wizard of fashion versatility. Michaela putting on a pricey LaCroix jacket and a pair of Guess jeans was a turning point in history for both Anna and Vogue. And let’s not forget The September Issue. So if Anna Wintour is my ultimate fashion icon, why Harper’s Bazaar?
I love the In Out List, even though I don’t agree with what’s in and out. I relatively go with my own style and what I want to wear. My List goes into a 24 hour day of a popular persona in the world of fashion or closely connected to it. Shop Bazaar is a spin off of the magazine where you can buy fashions that are highlighted in the magazine. The Style, Work The Look and The Extras are everything to me. Fabulous at Every Age works style at any age. It doesn’t cater to the 20 somethings. ( I apologize if you are in your 20’s,but when you get into your 30’s or 40’s for that matter, you will understand). Bazaar gives you options. Bazaar plays on style, personality and color that works with just about every faucet and stage of your fashion life.

The size of the magazine is also appealing. I feel like I am getting more of the ads, which I am inspired by. The magazine overall has a high chic, but glamorous and sophisticated style to it. The layouts, fonts and articles seem to brand Harper’s Bazaar like no other magazine. It is of true substance. Not just filled with a lot of ads and pictures, but meaningful content consisting of culture, society, and must see articles.
I prefer magazines over digital. I love to feel and turn the actual pages. I love to see my collections of Bazaar and know I can pick it up anytime I want to discover last year’s fashion and trends when an idea hits me. There have been times where I have gotten 2 copies so I can tear up one for my life board and keep one in tact.
The title of this post says What I’m Loving Right Now, but Harper’s Bazaar is one thing I will loved in the past, love right now and will in the future. What is your favorite magazine?
